Shotover stands for ultimate performance when it comes to stabilized camera systems and aerial photography. The G1 has been our Standard Gimbal since 2016.
Shotover stands for ultimate performance when it comes to stabilized camera systems and aerial photography. The G1 has been our Standard Gimbal since 2016.
Whether it’s Sony, Grass Valley, Arri, or Canon: only high-end broadcast or cinema equipment is used on all Wingcam systems. This quality can be found throughout our entire portfolio, without exception.
Whether mechanical or electrical, we strive for the most universal and functional interfaces possible. Wingcam dollies, dampener systems, gimbal, camera, and lens: all these components can only deliver the best results if they are optimally coordinated.
In 2010 we developed the first 2-axis remote heads for use of the Sony HDC-P1. Since then, we have had a 4th generation stabilized gimbal in our portfolio that is used when the going gets tough: the RH4 is indestructible.
The development of the RH4 focused on the use of broadcast block cameras, such as the Sony HDC-P1 or similar. With its minimalist configuration, there is no gimbal that is easier and quicker to install.
All three axes have a 360° range of motion, thanks to slip rings with integrated HD-SDI. In addition to the camera power supply, the gimbal offers a transparent network interface for RCP data and an RS422 interface for digital lens control.
The R2 is a light, compact camera gimbal with an unmatched price-performance ratio. Combined with our broadcast interface, the performance is amazing and for some purposes just the right gimbal system.
The addition of the basic functionality of the Ronin 2 to a network interface for RCP camera control, RS 422 interface for digital lens control, and compatibility with the universal controller makes the system a professional tool.
In addition to supporting all broadcast-related basic functions, the combination of our universal controller with the gimbal is a real performance booster for the control quality and usability of the Ronin 2.

The Redundant Airlink is our in-house, dual data radio system, which divides the transmission of control and status data into two separate communication channels in parallel. The advantages of the high bandwidth of a Wi-Fi or COFDM mesh network can therefore be combined with the robustness and range of classic UHF radios. In result the functional reliability is significantly improved.
